Nothing happens in a vacuum—not even the events of October 7, 2023. But that is not what this article is about.

Today, my article focuses on the ceasefire of October 2025 and what ultimately came of it.

The ceasefire of October 10, 2025, was established based on a 20-point peace plan announced by President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on September 29, 2025.

The plan included an immediate ceasefire, the release of all hostages within 72 hours, a phased withdrawal of the Israeli military, and, ultimately, the disarmament of Hamas.

The "negotiations" between these two leaders and Hamas were conducted through intermediaries: Egypt and Qatar. The final rounds of negotiations took place in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, under the oversight of the head of the Egyptian security services.

The agreement was signed in Egypt on October 9 and formally ratified on October 10 at a summit in Sharm el-Sheikh.

What, exactly, did Trump’s 20-point peace plan entail?

  • An immediate ceasefire upon agreement by both parties; Israeli forces would withdraw to a designated line, and all military operations would be suspended.

  • The release of all hostages (both living and deceased) within 72 hours of the agreement’s acceptance.

  • Israel: the release of 250 prisoners serving life sentences and 1,700 other prisoners from Gaza.

  • The demilitarization of Gaza: Hamas would have no role in governance, and all military infrastructure—including tunnels and weapons facilities—would be destroyed. Transitional governance by a technocratic, apolitical Palestinian committee, overseen by an international "Board of Peace" chaired by Trump.

  • Israel will not annex Gaza; no one will be forced to leave Gaza.

  • Full humanitarian aid provided via the UN and other international organizations, alongside the restoration of infrastructure.

  • An International Stabilization Force (ISF) will be deployed to ensure security and provide training for the Palestinian police.

  • Reconstruction and the establishment of a special economic zone for Gaza.

  • Political perspective: the U.S. will facilitate a dialogue between Israel and the Palestinians regarding a long-term horizon, including a conditional path toward Palestinian statehood.

What is wrong with Trump's plan?

The "peace plan," the oversight and monitoring of its implementation, and the deployment of a so-called "international security force"—it is all American, yet not entirely conceived by Americans. I suspect Israel that it had a significant hand in it. After all, why was Netanyahu present at the presentation of that plan—and not the mediating nations, Egypt and Qatar?

THE BIGGEST CULPRIT

Let’s first take a look at those colored lines. They are presented as phases during which the Israelis would withdraw from Gaza. In reality, what you are seeing is how Gaza has been divided into elongated sections.

Personally, I prefer to speak of the partitioning of Gaza because my focus is on the blue and yellow lines—the blue line that the Israelis intend to use as a border for a future, diminished remnant of Gaza. They are employing a different map of Gaza, one they created themselves, to achieve that objective.

The source of the blue line on the previously shown map is the map displayed above. The Israelis generated the map above using AI.

What was the purpose of this map?

Each section is assigned a number. The Israelis select a number—signifying that everything on that piece of land is to be leveled—and designate another number indicating where people should go. Subsequently, Israeli Colonel Avichay Adraee posts a message on X, accompanied by the map, specifying which area must be evacuated and where the people are directed to relocate.

However, the Israelis often began their bombardment just minutes after the message was posted on X; furthermore, recovered videos show that people were also attacked while attempting to comply with the "evacuation order." The destruction of everything within a designated area was intended to prevent people from returning.

The Israelis call this "evacuation," and they continued the process until all Palestinians had been driven into a strip of land—marked by the blue line on the map shown earlier. These were not evacuations, but rather acts of ethnic cleansing, carried out by sowing dystopian terror in the midst of a war that is now described as genocidal.

The colored lines on the first map were devised and introduced by the team tasked by Donald Trump with coming up with a "peace plan." Jared Kushner, an Orthodox Jew, is a member of that team; he is known to have personal ties to the Netanyahu family.

Meanwhile, the Israelis have been shifting the yellow line—which, in reality, is not a continuous line but rather a series of local markers consisting of concrete cubes painted yellow—further and further to the west, effectively expanding the occupied territory on their own initiative. Consequently, Palestinians have no way of knowing when they might cross that line and risk being shot dead.

EXCEPTIONALISM

The shifting of those cubes has long been a strong indication that the Israelis refuse to leave Gaza. On August 2nd, Netanyahu also stated that his troops would remain in the enclave. In doing so, they signal that their own interests take precedence over Trump’s "peace plan"—and the same applies to the ceasefire, which is a component of that plan.

This behavior—exempting oneself despite having agreed to terms—is known as "exceptionalism," and it is not unique to Zionism. You may have read about this type of behavior in my previous article.

Nevertheless, it is worth repeating two paragraphs:

---

In the American legal system, the U.S. Constitution stands absolutely supreme. According to the country’s legal doctrine, international treaties signed by the U.S. never hold greater authority than the Constitution itself.

The Supremacy Clause (Article VI) establishes that the Constitution, federal laws, and treaties take precedence over the legislation of individual states—but the Constitution itself stands above everything, including international law. These principles date back to the latter half of the 19th century.

---

Israel’s stance of supremacy stems from this same logic; it was also on display in April, when Netanyahu claimed that Israel was not a party to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)—even though Trump had agreed that all military activities in Lebanon should cease.

Consequently, the U.S. President bears responsibility for everything Netanyahu does in Lebanon, as Trump—perhaps unwittingly—signed the MoU in the capacity of a "guarantor."

FRAMEWORK

And, while we’re on the subject of Lebanon...

The Trilateral Framework Agreement was intended to put an end to the hostile conflict and promote peace in the region.

What were the key points of that framework?

  • The Israeli military was to gradually withdraw from southern Lebanon.
  • The Lebanese army was to restore sovereign authority in the south and take control of designated zones.
  • Implementation was contingent upon the disarmament and demobilization of Hezbollah and other armed militias in the area.

This framework reminds me of the Zionist ideology, which holds that the blame must always be placed on the victim—a notion also articulated by Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels during a mass rally in Munich.

Netanyahu knew that Hezbollah would retaliate when, in a June 16, 2025, interview with ABC News, he asked the Americans for assistance in the assassination of Iranian leader Khamenei. The retaliation followed Netanyahu’s decision to order the bombing of the building where Khamenei was located.

It should be noted that the United States, under Trump, was complicit in this assassination, as the preparations were carried out by the Israeli Mossad and the American CIA. The latter cannot conduct operations without the explicit authorization of the President; therefore, it can be concluded that Trump was aware of these preparations.

Netanyahu himself brought the war against Iran into Lebanon.

The Western world, and even the Lebanese government, persisted in claiming that Hezbollah had started the war. However, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun warned today that his country could once again be dragged into a war against Iran—thereby indirectly acknowledging that it was not Hezbollah that initiated the conflict in his country.

Given these facts, the framework for Lebanon does not align with reality; rather, it is rooted in a historical-political fact: Israel is not recognized by Lebanon, and there is no peace treaty—only a "ceasefire" that the United States forced the Lebanese to accept in 2006. The architects of that "ceasefire" were individuals who, at the time, maintained close ties with the Israelis—a pattern that also applies to the current framework for Lebanon. After all, that same Jared Kushner had been involved behind the scenes in plans and diplomatic initiatives concerning Lebanon.

The Israelis never adhered to the framework. For instance, they selected the southern Lebanese village of Froun as the first "pilot zone," even though Israeli forces had never been there.

During an illegal visit to southern Lebanon on June 15, 2026, Netanyahu stated that "Israel will continue to occupy Lebanon and Syria." Eight days later, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz declared that Israel would remain in southern Lebanon. It is therefore clear that the framework, too, is doomed to fail.

Here again, it becomes evident that the Israelis—supported by like-minded individuals in the United States—prioritize their own interests over those of Lebanon, driven by the pursuit of a "Greater Israel."

The Israelis—and, in truth, the Americans as well—are not the appropriate parties to facilitate a ceasefire. Such arrangements are invariably designed to favor the Israelis; and if they are not, the Israelis ensure they become so—in their own characteristic fashion in Gaza and Lebanon.

I hope you now understand why the Israelis simply do not abide by any ceasefire—and have not done so since the violation of the six-month ceasefire that led to the Gaza war in December 2008.
